Everything you Need to Know About Diabetes:

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a disease that you can never fully recover when the pancreas is not able to make the necessary insulin in the body, or when the body is unable to use insulin properly. Insulin is a hormone that helps in the absorption of glucose from food, and reaches the cells of the body. In addition, insulin keeps your blood sugar levels balanced and does not allow too much (hyperglycemia) or too little (hypoglycemia).

When your body has more sugar than necessary, insulin helps your liver to store sugar and when your blood glucose levels are low or when your body needs more sugar. Insulin then helps to balance blood glucose levels and keeps them within a traditional range. And when this balance is disturbed, the pancreas releases more insulin. When insulin is not produced or used effectively in our body, then the level of glucose in the blood increases, which is known as hyperglycemia (high). Prolonged high glucose levels damage the body and cause failure of various organs and tissues.

According to Ayurveda:

According to Ayurveda, diabetes is understood as an imbalance of Kapha energy, which incorporates elements of earth and water. Ayurvedic practitioners ask the event of diabetes as a discount within the digestive fire or “Agni”, which causes the body to lack energy and reduce ability to eliminate toxins.

Type of Diabetes:

Type -1

Diabetes is usually caused by an autoimmune process. In diabetes type 1, when the beta cells of the pancreas are damaged or destroyed, the body either loses its ability to make insulin and can only produce very small amounts of insulin. Therefore people with type 1 will require insulin injections to maintain glucose levels in the body and to avoid complications from hyperglycemia.

In type 2, excessive production of insulin begins over many years to eliminate insulin receptors and, eventually, the normal cellular response to insulin in the body is reduced, and cells become unable to absorb sugar from the bloodstream which works to make energy in the body. In about 90% of cases of type 2 diabetes, the body is not able to make good use of manufactured insulin. Treatment of type 2 diabetes is a healthy lifestyle, which includes physical activity and healthy diet. Some herbal herbs can also be very beneficial in its treatment.

Warning Signs of Diabetes:

Diabetes is a disease that affects the blood sugar and insulin levels in the body. In diabetes, the body either does not produce enough insulin or the body does not use the insulin produced properly. Its treatment includes systemic lifestyles and sometimes medicine, but some complementary treatments, such as herbs and supplements, may help.

 Magical Herbs for Diabetes:

1. Turmeric

Turmeric for diabetes

Turmeric contains a compound called curcumin that helps to manage high glucose levels in your blood and is useful to increase insulin sensitivity, which can lower blood sugar levels. Tests have shown these results that turmeric behaves as an anti-hyperglycemic agent.

Turmeric lowers blood sugar levels in many ways such as encouraging the manufacture of insulin, improving the activity and performance of pancreatic cells, known as beta cells. This is accomplished by repair and regeneration of these beta cells. Turmeric also reduces glucose production in the liver. Turmeric can be a very good way to cure diabetes because it is easily available in every household.

Guduchi contains antioxidants such as ascorbic acid, lycopene and carotene – they have anti-aging properties.

Giloy helps in the production of insulin and it can burn excess glucose, Giloy also acts as a hypoglycemic agent which helps to cure diabetes well. This agent can also help reduce blood sugar levels. The best way to consume is to use a powder made from the stem of Guduchi herbs. The powder can be mixed with water and honey, it should be taken under medical supervision.
